JIM TROXELL, PRESIDENT & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
In 1946 Jean and ‘Trox’ Troxell opened a small photo supply store in Flagstaff, Arizona—Jean & Trox Supply Company—to provide cameras and related accessories to schools, businesses and government agencies in Northern Arizona. By the early 1950s Jean and Trox had the foresight to add audio equipment to their product line, and the resulting increase in business created a need for a second retail location in Flagstaff.
After completing a tour of duty in Vietnam in the late 1960s, son Jim Troxell returned to Arizona to open an audio-visual location in Phoenix and to assume operations of the Flagstaff location. By the mid-1970s the AV market had grown so substantially that the Phoenix AV division moved to a larger facility to accommodate the ever-expanding product line. With the AV industry growing rapidly, Jim decided to turn his focus solely toward the Phoenix division which he purchased from his family in 1982, thereby creating Troxell Communications, Inc. |
